PAV BHAJI

Pav bhaji is very great snack or heavy snack  on streets loved by  most of the people which is cooked with lot of vegetables and served by pav buns fried with butter . There may be so many pav bhaji masala's  available in the market which we can use by adding extra spice to it ,preparation is easy with less time ,as a weak end special I prepared at home and want to share .......................so enjoy your weak end with  yummy yummy pav bhaji ......................  ; )

Ingredients = 

FOR BHAJI - 

  • Potato - 11/2 cup { boiled ,peeled and mashed }
  • Cauliflower - 1 cup {washed and finely chopped}
  • Carrot - 1/2 cup {peeled ,washed and finely chopped}
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup {peeled and washed}
  • Bell pepper / capsicum - 1/ 2 cup {washed and finely chopped}
  • Onion - 1 big {peeled ,washed and finely chopped}
  • Tomatoes - 2 {washed and finely chopped]
  • Turmeric  powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Pav bhaji masala - 11/2 tsp
  • Black salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 
  • Butter - 4- 5 tsp 
This is the special masala which my punjabi friend to me to add for specal flavour 
3 to 4 red chillies {bede kayalu or kashmiri mirchi} - soaked in warm water for 3 mint's to it add 4 cloves of garlic into fine paste ..................

FOR  PAV - & - Serving -
  • Pav buns {available in the market}
  • Bhaji - 2 - 3 spoons {as per}
  • Butter 
  • Chopped onions 
  • Lemon 
Method of preparation - 
OF BHAJI = 
  • Boil  carrot , peas ,cauliflower till they are soft , drain excess of water ................
  • Heat the butter  on a  large pan , when hot  add chopped onions and  bell pepper chopped  and saute for  3- 5 mint's  ......................
  • Add  the special  masala  - chilli garlic paste and saute for  golden color or till soft 
  • Add  chopped tomatoes  and saute  as the oil separate {cook in small flame}
  • Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder ,pav masala and mix well , add black salt and salt and saute

 

  • And finally add potato mash and boiled vegetables and mash with potato masher by adding some water [ as necessary ] - BHAJI  is now ready to use with pav 
Preparation of pav - 
  • Slice  pav  in the middle horizontally . Heat flat pan  , by applying butter fry  on hot pan [ sprinkle little red chilli powder if want more spice ] to little golden color 
Serving - 
  • Serve  hot pav with hot bhaji on a serving plate with chopped onion and lemon 
If you want you can serve green chilli fried on pan
