CHANA JOR SNACK


If  any of you tried making channa jor at home doing at home, you can try like this very healthy and tasty snack . This chana jor is a very traditional item  which we can see in North India now we can see here also and it is very easy for preparing we can prepare chur or jor at home or we can get ready made packets also in the market like haldiram's etc., 

IF WE ARE BUYING CHANA JUR  IN THE MARKET 
for seasoning ......................
Ingredients = 
  • onion - 1 
  • tomato - 1 small
  • lemon juice - 1/4 tsp
  • green chillies - 1 
  • cilantro few 
Method of preparation = 

Peel and finely chop onion 
Wash and finely chop tomato 
Remove stem and chop chilli 
Wash and chop cilantro 
In a mixing bowl take cup full or 100 grms of  chana jor and add chopped onion,tomato,cilantro,chilli,lemon juice and mix well and taste little bit if there is less salt and spice add salt and little red chilli powder and chat masala .

That's  very tasty chana jor is ready to eat .
IF WE PREPARE  CHANA JOR 
for that ingredients =
  • Black gram / brown chick peas - 1 cup
  • Soda bicarb - 2 pinches 
  • Oil - for deep frying 
  • salt 
  • Garam masala 
Method of preparation = 

  • Wash and soak chana grams over night in pleanty of water and soda .
  • Drain and spread on kitchen towel to remove excess water.
  • With a pestle or small grinding stone ,flatten each chana .
  • Now heat oil in frying pan,add hand ful of flatten chana and fry till crisp / whitish 
  • Drain  and put on kitchen paper or news paper for excess oil 
  • Repeat with all chana ,and add salt and garam masala and mix well when cooled store on air tight box 
  • When ever necessary do seasoning to this chana and eat .
