CHINA GRASS HALWA / AGAR AGAR PUDDING

China grass is also known as agar agar / faluda in many places ,in my childhood I ate this item in my friend's house and want my mom to prepare but don't know the name again I learnt with her and brought home then she came to know
It is nothing but vegetable derived from a no arome and neutral taste .It is a quick setting base for many sweets used in many parts of India .It is avaible in powder and dried strands form.I prefer strands .......

Ingredients =

milk - 1 liter
china grass - 1 packet [ cut to small pieces andsoaked in warm water ]
badham - 5
kaaju - 6-7
big plate - 1

Method of preparation =

Cut  china grass strands into small pieces and soak in cup of warm water about 10 - 15 mint's

In the mean time keep milk for boiling , as the milk boils sim the stove and add soaked agar by squeezing all the  water and mix well .............

Continuously stir  the agar mixed milk till fully dissolved .

Add sugar and keep on stirring till sugar is fully dissolved .............

By the time take a flat plate grease it with butter or ghee and spread cooked china grass milk  on the plate .

And sprinkle chopped nuts [ as many you wish ,and use what nuts you want ] and let it rest for 1/2 hr or until cold .

After setting , cut into squares or desired shape .
If you want chill it in refrigerator and enjoy it ....................as we prefer room temperature .
