RAAGI DOSA

Raagi dosa  - This is one of the healthy tiffin ,normally raagi  many people does't like but should eat this , and try to do raagi dosa  with my recipe you all will defenetly like this ..............

Ingredients - 

urad dal - 1 glass
raggi  flour / pindi - 3 glasses 
rice flour / biyyam pindi - 1 glass 
salt 
cooking soda - 1/3 tsp 

Method of preparation - 
  • Soak whole urad dal  in water for 5 -6 hrs  
  • Wash and  strain urad dal  once and add  fresh pure water and ground into fine paste 


  • In a mixing bowl ,mix together grounded urad dal  flour,rice flour,raagi flour,salt,cooking soda and mix well with sufficient warm water before night for next day morning break fast .


  • Add enough water to make it some what thin batter 
  • Heat a flat pan on a high heat ,apply oil to the pan with back of the spoon (or) with onion slice 
  • When the pan gets hot,pour a ladle full of dosa batter in a circular motions
  • Make sure that the batter is thin enough when the batter hits the hot pan dosa moves softly.
  • Pour 1 tsp of oil around dosa for frying 
  • Fry on low and medium flame till the bottom starts changing its colour into golden brown colour. 
  • carefully turn to another side by redusing the heat to medium ,when other side also get fried serve the raagi dosa  with coconut chutney  .
  • Repeat the same procedure with the left batter also 
suggestion - If the dosa batter is thick the dosa will not be crispy and tasty ,so if the batter is thick add water and make it thin .
