THALI PED

It  is a Maharastrian  specalist  dish  ताली  पेड   .It is tiffin item and it is very popular in inner maharastra  have to try when we visit very tasty and easy to prepare .I have learnt  there by asking their recipe and tried got it and want to share so let's start .....................

Ingredients -


  • urad dal - 1 cup
  • chana dal -  1 cup 
  • rice - 1 cup 
  • green chillies - 4 
  • ginger / अदरत्  - 1/3 inch 
  • garlic / गार्लिक  -  3
  • salt 
  • oil 
Method of preparation - 

Soak  urad dal , chana dal , rice for 4 hours .

Grind  garlic,ginger,green chillies,salt  into a fine paste and keep aside .

Ground  urad dal , chana dal , rice into a fine thick paste .

Mix this green chiili masala paste  into the thick batter of  these mixed dals .[ the thick ness of  batter should be like nearly chepathi  dough ] 
     It should be in a semi solid form 

Keep the dough aside  for 30 mint's as rest .

After the prescribed  time take the dough to make thali ped  

The dough should be little loose than chapathi dough [we should press with our plam .

Take enough dough like small ball size ,on chapathi  palaka we pess chepathi , spread  wet cloth on chepathi palaka to it's size and take the dough ball and press with your  fingers  into round pulka shape  .

While you were preparing roti keep the flat pan to get hot .Gently lift the cloth on which you pressed roti twilt the cloth upside so that the roti side on the hot pan [while doing this slow the flame] and slowly remove the cloth and pour 1 tsp of oil .
   and fry on two sides and serve with coconut chutney .
