  • In a mixing bowl  add all ingredients of filling and mix well with hand so that all are mixed well .
  • Refrigerate until use .

Ingredients for making  sauce =

3 large tomatoes
1 bell pepper [ capsicum ]
3 green chillies
1 cup cilantro springs - washed and chopped
1 tsp garlic - peeled and minced
1 tsp ginger - peeled and minced
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp grouded black pepper
salt to taste

How to make  sauce =

  • In a frying pan roast the tomatoes , bell pepper and red chillies  by cutting them in half  until the skin blakens and splits .
  • Place all the ingredients in a blender / miksee jar to ground them into smooth paste ,add some water if it is necessary .
  • Refrigerate the sauce until the momos are ready to serve .
Ingredients to make dough =

maida / all purpose flour - 1 glass
salt - pinch
oil - 1/2 tsp

Make dough =
  • Pour all the flour on a big and clean plate , add salt and oil and mix well and make a pod and by adding water about required and mix well by hand and keeping adding water until you make the ball of dough that sticks to it self , but not to your hand .
  • Kend the dough until the dough is smooth and cover it with a lid .

Preparation of momo =

  • Roll  the dough  on the floured  surface until it is { 3 mm } thick small piece of dough into your hands you  can now flatten into a circle using a rolling pin or chapathi press  like small poori .
  •  Put  one round of pressed dough in your left hand , add tsp full of prepared filling in the center of the dough .
  • With your right hand pinch a little bit of the dough , continue pinching around the the circle little by little basically , you will be pinching the whole edge of the circle into one spot .
  • Continue folding and pinching all around the edge of  the circle ,you should seal the hole on the top of the momo.
  • For steaming I used idly stand  , lightly oil the steamer plate / idly plate keep the prepared momos on the oiled plates .
  • Boil water in a idly cooker .
  • Place 3 plates but oil only one upper plates and place some momos  and steam for 10 mints , and serve the steamed momos  with the prepared sauce or  tomato chilli sauce. { why to keep 3 plates down means  under water should not come to momos so that we keep on upper plate }
  • Repeat the same with the remaining prepared momos .
  • Serve hot yummy momos .
