CAULIFLOWER KADALA PACHHADI [ FOR RICE ]

Cauliflower  kadalu means these by using these we are going to prepare roti pachhadi  as a side dish for rice 


Ingredients = 

  • green chillies - 5
  • tomato - 2
  • ground nuts - 15
  • cilantro springs 
  • channa dal [ shanaga bedalu ]- 1 tsp
  • ginger - 1/2 inch
  • garlic pods - 5 
  • cauliflower kadalu - 5
  • tamarind - half lemon size 
  • turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • salt 
  • oil - 3 tsp
Talimpu =

  • curry leaves - 8
  • mustard seeds - 1/3 tsp
  • cumin seeds - 1/3 tsp
  • urad dal - 1/3 tsp
  • broken red chilli - 1
  • oil - 2 tsp
  • channa dal - 1 tsp
  • carrot - grated - 1 small cup
  • cilantro springs 
  • garlic - 2 pods
Method of preparation = 
  • Wash and finely chop cauliflower kadalu 
  • Remove stems wash and chop green chillies
  • Wash and chop tomatoes
  • Peel and lightly crush garlic pods
  • Heat  a shallow pan add oil and add chopped green chillies and fry for a sec and add chopped tomatoes and cilantro and chopped cauliflower kadalu  and saute for few mint's until the kadalu are cooked well .
  • Fry in another pan channa dal and transfer to a plate 
  • Like that only fry ground nuts and cool down and peel them and transfer to a plate 
  • Cool the fried and cooked ingredients to the room temperature .
  • Grind all the ingredients by adding tamarind and salt and garlic to a fine paste by using blender 
  • Heat oil in a pan add all talimpu ingredients in order,when urad dal turns light brown add grated carrot and fry for few sec's then add grounded pachhadi and saute for few sec and transfer to serving bowl .
  • Serve this pachhadi for steamed rice .
