LAACHI PARATHA


Laachi  paratha is one of the delicious item which can be used as travelling dish and also when vegitables are not there and gusts are are there at home preparation time is very less and very very tasty .

Ingredients =

STUFFING / FILLING -
  • roasted chana dal / bhuna dal powder / putnala pappula  podi - 1 cup
  • garlic cloves - 7
  • green chillies - 5 
  • ajwain - 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • cilantro springs
  • oil - 1/2 tsp
FOR FLOUR MIXING - 
  • wheat flour - 2 cups 
  • salt a pinch 
  • oil - 1 tsp 
knead  wheat flour , salt ,oil and mix the flour by  adding water .
Place it rest by covering it with wet kitchen towel for half an hour .
  • oil  as required  - for making parathas 
Method of preparation = 

Wash and finely chop cilantro springs .
Wash and remove stems and finely chop green chillies .
Grind roasted gram into fine powder .
Peel and chop garlic into small .

In a mixing bowl add  grounded putnala pappula podi , salt , chopped chillies , ajwain , cilantro springs , chopped garlic cloves , oil and mix well and keep aside .

Divide the dough into 3 - 4 portions 

Take each portion of dough , press it to a little to form a flat disk or like poori .
Take one or 11/2 tsp of filling stuff and place in the middle of the disc .
Now bring together the edges and press it to form a ball .
Care fully press each dough ball into 5 - 7 diameters [very gently] with the help of rolling pin 

Heat the flat griddle / pan , put a tsp of oil on brush the griddle or  pan 
Place the paratha  on hot pan and put 1/2 tsp of oil , on a medium heat and turn sides till to golden brown color .
Add quater tsp of oil or 1/4 tsp of oil if necessary the other side also 
Remove the lachi paratha or pappullapodi paratha on a serving plate and serve hot .
Repeat the same to the remaining dough part also .
