IDLY POWDER



idly powder  : -



Ingredients :

¼ glass chana dal

¼ glass urad dal

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 tsp coriander seeds

Pepper grains – 1 tsp

10 red chillis [ or ] according  to taste

Method of  preparation –

Heat pan add chana dal, urad dal , cumin seeds , coriander 

seeds separately with out oil on medium flame until golden 

color 

(the aroma)


Switch off the flame and let the ingredients cool.

Ground cooled chana, urad dal, cumin seeds, coriander seeds 

with salt and red chillies in a mixie coarsely and take it in a 

bowl.

First ground  powdered dals and mix well with hand for a 

second roughly.

You can take and preserve  for 2 to 3 months [ even more but 


the smell may go]



This will be well with idly dosa  with a drop of ghee
