GROUNDNUT POWDER (PHALLI POWDER) [ FOR ] IDLY,DOSA ,RICE

Ingredients :

11/2 glass ground nuts

2tsp chana dal

3tsp urad dal

1 tsp cumin seeds

¾ glass coriander seeds

7 to 8  garlic pods


20 red chillis [ or ] according  to taste

Method of  preparation –

Fry  ground nuts (without oil) in a medium flame. Remove 

the 

skin and keep aside.


Heat pan add chana dal, urad dal , cumin seeds , coriander 

seeds separately with out oil on medium flame until golden 

color 

(the aroma)

Switch off the flame and let the ingredients cool.

Leaving ground nuts ground cooled chana, urad dal, cumin 

seeds, coriander seeds with salt and tamarind and red chillies 

in a mixie coarsely and take it in a bowl.

Again take fried and peeled ground nuts into mixie coarsely and mix into the first grounded

  powdered dals and mix well 

with hand and again add that powder in a mixie jar and 

ground for a second roughly.

You can take and preserve  for 2 to 3 months [ even more but 

the smell may go]

This will be well with idly dosa and with hot rice with a drop 

of ghee


So friends enjoy with this ground nut powder.
