Materials required =
Big yellow color bell peppers – 2
Medium sized onion – 1
Dried red chillies – 8
Garlic cloves – 3
Peanuts roasted golden color and remove skin – ½ cup
[store bought un- salted, roasted peanut are fine too]
Oil – 2 tsp
Tamarind – ½ piece of lemon size
Jaggery – ¼ tsp
Peanuts – ½ tsp
Garlic – 2 pods
Salt as per
Method of preparation –
Wash and Soak tamarind
Heat about 1 to 2 tsp
of oil in a skillet. Add and roast the
cut vegetables are dried red chillies on high heat.
The vegetables should be
very well browned and soft. Remove them from heat and allow to cool.
Add jaggery , garlic , roasted
peanut , salt to a miksi jar and blend them into fine paste by adding
tamarind ,then add roasted vegetables and grind into fine paste .
Grind them together to coarse puree, without adding any extra water.
Remove to a cup and serve with your favorite roti, upma,rice,dosa.
if you want you can give thalimpu for chutnee
use sweet bell pepper only for this chutney not green one's
don't chop bell pepper into small pieces wider pieces,as it won't become a fine paste while you did grinding.
