Peas poori is a very common dish for bengali's . As my neighbour is a Bengali and once she gave me to taste this dish we liked so much . And learnt from her and made it very tasty and this the season for green peas so every one try and eat , with less masala and children also will like so much , easy to prepare and taste yummy .

- Frozen peas - 1 cup {preferably the fresh ones but in case Use frozen peas will do}
- Ginger - 1 inch
- Green chilli - 2 - 3
- Asfoetida / hing - pinch
- Dry roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Whole wheat atta / powder - 2 cups
- All purpose flour / maida - 4 cups
- Salt - as per
- Ghee / butter - 2 tsp
- Warm water - as per
- Dry flour for rolling puri - as per [ I use maida as oil won't destroy ]
Method of preparation -
- In a grinder add peas , ginger , green chillis , and little water and make fine paste out of this .
- Take ghee / butter in a frying pan , add hing and add the prepared paste of peas and on medium heat fry this until all the water completely evaporates [ keep strring as it doe's not stick to bottom ] and the pea mixture becomes dry and thick enough to make small balls out of it .
- Now add salt to your paste and if peas not sweet add little sugar to it . Let it cool and then sprinkle some cumin powder and mix well .
- Now we need to make the dough :- In a mixing bowl add two types of flour's ,salt, ghee for shortening .
- Rub the ghee into the flour with your finger tips .Now slowly add the warm water and knead it until the dough becomes soft and smooth .
- Cover it with a cloth or kitchen towel and allow to rest for for 1/2 an hr .
- Take ball you Made it from the flour and keep it on your palm .Using the other palm press it and make a small disc .
- You can also use your rolling pin to make small puri ............. and keep the stuff and close it and press to small puri and keep themm aside .
- Take oil in a wok or kadai and heat it . Deep fry the kachori / poori till both sides puff up .
- Poori can be eaten with dal or any subzi or plain also .
